  • 5 star ratingGreat Experience! 7 members of our family went on a ride led by Hugo. He was great! He was excited to share lots of information on the history of the area and was also very knowledgeable about the sites and wildlife that we saw. He managed a group with a wide range of riding capability flawlessly and everyone had a great time. Hugo made the ride one of the best experiences of our trip to Costa Rica! Highly recommend!

5 star ratingGreat guide (Daniel)! We had a wonderful tour in the Manuel Antonio Park. The park was too crowded, but Danny (Daniel Bolaños) was a really great and present guide! Very clear, competent and very nice!

5 star ratingAmazing experience My husband and I just went on this trip and it was incredible from start to finish. There were 8 other people in the group that we went with for a total of 4 boats. Our guide was Marcos and Orlando led the group. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. The guides were informative and it was easy to understand what you had to do throughout the whole time. It was exciting, and challenging at times, but we always felt safe. Orlando provided us with information about Costa Rica and the area as we drove to the river. The bus we took was clean and comfortable. We left our things on the bus while we rafted and since the driver stayed with the bus the whole time, our things were safe. They fed us after the rafting and the food was basic, but very yummy. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this tour.

5 star ratingGreat way to spend an afternoon We had so much fun on our trip. We were on our honeymoon and were looking to get out and go on a bit of adventure and this trip definitely scratched that itch. The kayaking was the perfect challenge level for us, just enough to break a sweat and get a light workout in but not too strenuous. The views from the ocean were stunning, and gave a really unique perspective not viewable from the beach alone. Our guide, Ceasar (aka Aquaman) was super friendly and made the trip that much more fun. He was very knowledgeable and had a contagious enthusiasm. We also really liked our driver nicknamed 'Plastico'. After spending alot of the time eating at the hotel, the home-cooked meal we had was a great change of pace for us. Overall would really recommend.

  • 5 star ratingTucanes Tours Private Transfers in Costa Rica 2019 We travelled last year to Costa Rica on a bespoke holiday (arranged by Original Travel facilitated by the excellent Victor Sanchez at Costa Rica Trails).
During our holiday, we used the services of Tucanes Tours for a number of long journeys between relatively far-flung destinations and we found the service to be excellent on all occasions.
Our first trip was from Arenal to Manuel Antonio, not far from the Panamian border. A really long trip made extremely enjoyable by our super driver, Paolo. His knowledge of local flora and fauna really enlivened the journey and he also knows all the good places to stop for coffee and snacks! Our short stop at Crocodile Bridge on this leg of our travels was really memorable!
We then made various trips from Manuel Antonio to Golfito and back, from Manuel Antonio to the Andaz resort at the Papagayo peninsula and finally from there to the airport.
The vehicles were all clean and very comfortable, almost all had good wifi and the drivers, especially Pedro and Esteban, were hugely knowledgeable about their country and the things we saw en route. All of them also have an uncanny ability to spot sloths hiding in trees!
We would absolutely recommend Tucanes to anyone needing such services in Costa Rica.

5 star ratingKayak tour with great guides through the mangroves We booked the Tour and we were picked up at our Hotel perfectly on time. The overall organisation was excellent.
Our guides have been Dani and César.
They gave us some good information about the proper rowing technique before the start of the tour. During the tour we got a lot of information about the fauna and flora of the mangroves area. They took very well care about us, being novices as kayakers. Also during the bus trip to and from the mangroves Dani explained about the agricultural cultivation of the Quepos area.
After the tour we had an early dinner at the restaurant of Tucanes Tours together with all kayakers.
    A great experience, highly recommended.

5 star ratingA W E S O M E Went on the the tour along with my husband, mother, grandmother, and brother and we had a blast. Our guide was wonderful, incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem, as well as a great spotter for wildlife. We saw exotic bugs, a basilisk, iguanas, so many sloths, monkeys, bats, a racoon, and many plants and flowers. The park is a must see and having an expert guide to spot the animals makes all the difference.

2 star ratingGreat guide, boring ride Danny was superb in every way...kind, knowledgeable, sensitive to everyone. But not much to see anywhere here in the 2 hour kayak ride.... plus 30-3 45 minutes to and from our hotel so a long time for not much outcome. Danny is great though and if you have never seen mangroves, he is a good one to ride with.
